Evening Sermon Series in Ecclesiastes
Come close out the Lord’s Day together in worship at 6:00 p.m. as we work our way through Ecclesiastes and see how the Bible wrestles with the seeming futility of this life. We’ll begin with the usual hymn sing, so be ready with your requests.
Officer Training
The Session will provide an officer training class beginning in October. This class will meet at 5:00 p.m. on the Lord’s Day and will continue for about six months. It is open to any man in the congregation, and those who are discerning a call to church office are especially encouraged to attend to continue exploring that calling. The class will overview the polity and theology of Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church as well as consider the duties of the church offices. The texts for the class include the Westminster Standards, Timothy Witmer’s Shepherd Leader, and How Jesus Runs the Church by Guy Waters.
